Black Diamond Yachts currently has a booking for one cabin, and we have one more cabin available for the right couple. This is a sailing/learning holiday. Ideal for any couple who wishes to gain experience cruising in warmer latitudes. Maybe you are thinking about bare boating, or taking your own boat down some day. 6 Nights and 7 days, 3-6 hours of sailing, passage making each day, will include one night passage, each day at a different island in the Bahamas. The two couples will have hands on experience and will conduct all work on boat, with coaching from the captain. Including; Helming, Sail Raising, Sail Drops, Sail Changes, Sail Trim, Route Planning, Navigation by paper and chart plotting instruments, Weather forecasting visually and by Sirius Sat Instruments, VHF communications, weather broadcasts, Anchoring as a couple, hand signals, operation of windlass, anchor bridal, choosing suitable location for anchoring, anchor drops and raises, currents, tides, surges, rip tides, safely entering and exiting keys and cuts, dingy operation, securing to land and boat, boat maintenance and repair, groundings how to avoid and safely free vessel, picking up mooring balls, docking in tides on non-floating docks, provisioning, cooking, baking bread on board and much much more.
