Black Diamond’s Susan Hood Trophy Race 2012
We had a really fun and good race…Our best performance long distance yet. If you were following my blog, twitter or facebook, you would know by now we ripped our heavier spinnaker, nothing we were doing wrong, it was up and sailing nicely, and sheared off at the bottom re-inforced tack. This should not have happened. A manufactures defect! We hesitated putting up the light spinnaker since we just ripped the heavier one. About an hour later, we put the light one up and we were back in the race. For about an hour we were doing about 2 knots slower. We figure this cost us about 20 minutes.
